Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I’m a Reincarnator : Episode 8

For an episode titled after Rafilia, it didn’t have much of her really. But at the end of the day it really boils down to Rafilia being essentially ignored by everyone except for her teacher. Meanwhile everyone is adoring over and in love with Ellen. Because while Rafilia is just a rather normal kid, Ellen is this overpowered spirit who literally just creates anything she wants with a little effort. Really Ellen should be restricted in the same way as Origin in not being able to spend that much time outside of the spirit realm, and limiting how much she interacts with them. Everything she has done already has completely broken the systems and world, between making millions in gold appear out of nothing to modern medicine.

Meanwhile Aria is still affected I assume and dealing with that curse, and just the thought of it that is causing her trauma. Which has done nothing to actually help the situation, so once again something caused by the spirits that did far more harm than help. And Sauvel is far more interested in hanging out with Rovel and Ellen than giving any attention to his own family, just completely ignoring the issue so nothing ever improves.

This really is an odd series the more I think about it. The only named characters who actually have a good time or have anything positive happening to them are the spirits. Every other human character has just been punished or overshadowed in one way or another by the spirits. And yet it doesn’t seem like the show even wants to think about this issue, not yet at least and keeps the resentment building in the various factions.
