The Case Study of Vanitas Part 2 : Episode 11

Episode rated highly cause I like well animated fights that are fluid. Like that really is the strong point of this episode by far. Otherwise this is meant to be a battle between friends because of some secret. But to be honest, things just don’t work well for me. The main villain of this arc, Mikhail I just don’t really have any connection to at all. He is just some character who showed up at the end of the season here and caused these events. But he has no arc or character, he isn’t some interesting morally gray character or got some deeper meaning to him it seems. He is just some bad guy who can brainwash people who showed up and wants to be with Vanitas. And to achieve that he wants to get rid of everyone Vanitas is close to a guess, and also learn more about their past.

It just isn’t a very interesting story at all. I care about the characters who are fighting right now, sure I do. But the main villain I just don’t care about. Which is an issue this show has had the entire time, it just doesn’t really make good villains at all. And personally the stories suffer because of that.
