Well, I wasn’t expecting that at all. Like ever reading the manga, I wasn’t expecting this adaption to be done so well. And be so open and free with the nudity and very interesting topics from the manga. Honestly I think this might end up being one of those shows that is better than the source manga in the end. Just seeing these encounters animated improves them a ton. They just become far more interesting and enjoyable really.

And elevating it all is Utena’s voice actor Fuuka Izumi. She is a new voice actor to anime is seems, but is playing the character exactly as I would want. And I’m really interested to see how she can take the character as she develops more as the show continues. There is far more “interesting” content coming in the future still for these characters.

Honestly though, this feels like a tough show to talk about being so close to hentai. But man I am glad to see it getting a proper adaption it seems. And can only look forward to what the blu-ray gives us, since that is apparently even less censored.
