Mobile Suit GUNDAM Iron Blooded Orphans : Episode 1

And continuing with the trend of watching things that I dropped originally in 2015, we have Gundam. Yet another show that I don’t remember why I stopped watching at the time, but it is time to go back to it again and see what it is truly like. Now I don’t have the longest history with the Gundam franchise, I’ve watched a couple shows here and there. But I would never call myself a Gundam super fan, I’m not sure where Iron Blooded Orphans sits on peoples ranking lists and I’ve never even watched the original Gundam show. One day I’ll do a full Gundam franchise watch, don’t know when that will be though with how many shows I already try to watch.

So for a first episode in this, I’m looking forward to where things go. We are given a pretty large cast of characters with different roles that play. With the main group being apparently child soldiers who are part of a mercenary company. And a rich privileged girl who has decided she has found a goal of Mars liberation, against the wishes and plans of her father. So a large cast of characters and multiple factions all at play, and I’m just glad it has 25 episodes and a second season to fully explore them all. Should have plenty of time to let them grow and expand.

So I shall see how this show pans out over the rest of the year, and see if I can find what caused me to drop it originally. And hopefully set me up for the second season next year.
