Attack on Titan : Episode 4
Current Episode Score: 7
So I didn’t remember anything from this episode at all. Seems my vague memories of the show ended with the previous episode. And well as for my thoughts with this episode, it seems a tad rushed. I’ve never read the source material, but I feel like there must have been some training arc and character building that got skipped over here. In order to reach the spot that the episode ended on. We get to see them do a small bit of training, and a brief overview of people and their general skills. But nothing enough to actually remember anybody at all, or get attached to them really.
Something I noticed this episode though is how simplistic the visuals and animation actually seems. We are getting a good number of shots of people standing around, and only really animating a mouth moving. Nothing is standing out, and honestly seems a bit overly simply at times for how big of a show it was. Maybe I just noticed things on a bad episode? Possibly the large black outlines are just standing out to me more this episode. Not really sure, just something I noticed with this episode and will have to keep an eye on as the show goes on.
