Lord of Mysteries : Episode 6

Once again this show does a terrible job of transitioning between episodes and events. Instead of some discussion and introduction into the events that will be happening. Setting the scene and starting the episode off with something, it just starts. No time was given to introducing where we are in this world, or how they got the case or how it relates to anything else. And it just makes the entire show feel very, I don’t know, drift less. I just don’t know anything really about this world or even the characters that much, it is a gorgeous and visually stunning show and world they created. But I know nothing about it really, and I don’t have any clue what this city and world they crafted actually looks like.

So you have some of the best looking visuals I’ve ever seen in a show. And a story that at times seems to have some interesting potential. But the execution is just terribly flawed. Good visuals impress me, and I wish more shows had what this show has, but it needs more than a very pretty image to actually keep me interested in the long term. We are now 6 episodes in, and I don’t have any feeling about the larger story or where things are going from here at all, or how much closer the main character is to his goal, or how the grey mist and those 2 other characters relate to what he is doing at all.
