Blue Exorcist : Episode 1

You know, I swear I remember watching this first episode before. I really do. Heck, feel like I remember watching more than just one episode, and actually a decent chunk of this show in the past. Though I don’t have it recorded, so if I did it was before I was using MyAnimeList or Anilist. Now I don’t really remember why I would have stopped watching the show, if I did. But if I had to put a time frame for when I would have watched it, it would have to be like 2014ish right when I first started watching anime.

Now as for the actual episode content. I guess in general it was a decent enough introduction to the world and characters. Though I definitely feel like this was fully an introductory episode into the world. Overall it didn’t standout all that much for me. The characters haven’t done all that much for me to really like, and Rin just isn’t a character I’m enjoying at all. His general personality just isn’t doing much, and I’m hoping he grows a fair bit over the course of the show.

Visually the show doesn’t stand out from the crowd all that well. It comes off as being a pretty generic looking show that looks like every other show from that year. So it really is a show that will have to stand up based on the story and characters.
