Mars Red : Episode 2

Feel like we are still solidly in the world and character building phase. And haven’t gotten to whatever the larger story is going to be. We get introduced to this group of vampires working for the military, and get so much more information about vampires and how they are created. Though I did feel like the creation explanation was a bit rough, explaining the event to people who should already know this info just for the audience.

I do feel like this explanation is going to be adjusted over the course of the show. I’m guessing we will have some events that change the general understanding of how it all works.

But the thing I have the most to say about, is Maeda. Who in a single episode has increased in power and ranking for me a bunch. And really showed that he wasn’t really trying to kill the girl from the first episode, along with leaving those flowers at her grave site. But when he does decide to kill them, he is dedicated and ruthless. And killing his subordinate quickly and efficiently, so that he can die as a full human. And then you have that surprise of him having a metal arm, that has got to have a good story behind it. I’m gonna figure it has something to do with vampires of course.

Yeah, this episode has grabbed me. I want more of this.
