86 EIGHTY-SIX Season 2: Episode 5

So this was about the episode I was expecting. You have the lighthearted episode followed up by the much more serious episode. Just following the standard procedure for this show in that regard.

For the Federacy side of the story. It worked just the way you would expect, and looked as great as you would expect. With some just amazing fights that just look amazing. Really showing of what they can do. Meanwhile Shin and friends do what they do and just destroy everything that stands in front of them. But Shin seems to be having some issues, kinda going slightly insane after constant fighting for a decade now. I wonder if he maybe is getting a bit too confident in his abilities and if it will cause issues in the near future.

As for the Republic side of things. I kept expecting an episode from them, but was kinda expecting it to be more of a flashback episode. Setting things up more before reaching this point. I feel like they will have to do some work to make things work well with Lena in this case. She has set up things we have no knowledge of at all, so I don’t know what we are working with here. The Uncle also has a super defeatist attitude at this point, he has kinda just given up and wants to get it all over with.

With the shift to the Republic I have another issue, they are talking about this district and the northern front falling. But I still don’t have any map of the Republic. I don’t know what this actually means or distances or importance at all. Is this simply the first line of defense? Or is the northern front truly just completely unprepared and fell completely already with nothing else to stop the Legion. I just wish I had more overview of the situation at all, just something.
