The Faraway Paladin: Episode 3

So we finally have the story behind these three undead and why they are just hanging around this place forever. And it is a rather interesting backstory for them, becoming immortal guardians to make sure the seal does not break. But what I don’t really get, is the whole gods part of the story. So the gods are like actually figures who will show up and interfere with various events to get the outcomes they want in person. I feel like there must be more behind these gods that I do want to learn about.

End of the episode is going in odd directions. Some type of deal involving giving over their souls to that god for some reason. But if they do that, doesn’t that god loose the immortal guardians that he himself made? Why would you do that?

Looking to the future, I want to see how things actually end up progressing. For a 12 episode show, that looks like it will be about exploring and adventures and such. We are spending many episodes in a single location growing attached to these characters. So how much more exploring can we really do from here. Are we going to keep with the current tone and pacing, he leaves meets new people and spends 4 episodes with them? Or are we just going to not get much character building for various side characters he meets. And how far are we actually going to get in this world and adventures, we don’t have that many episodes left. It just gets me worried about how the show is progressing unless it gets an announcement of a second season.
