The Aquatope on White Sand : Episode 16

Published by ThyMrMan on

For this second part of the show, this has probably been the best episode. But still isn’t close to reaching the first half of the show. It just feels like it is lacking in a certain heart and connection that the first part had. I cared about the Gama Gama aquarium and the story around it, I don’t care about Tingaara at all. And I don’t really see that changing anytime soon.

Something that I find odd, and wonder if it will return is the magical aspect that the show had at Gama Gama with the hallucinations and such. Sure it was never a major part, but I would be annoyed if we never actually get an explanation or anything more about that stuff.

As for the events of this episode, it was unexpected. I don’t think Chiyu having a kid and dealing with all that stuff excuses how she has behaved in the past say. But it is a real good extra layer to that character that I was not expecting to get. And helped everyone in general grow.

It also is the most unrealistic part of the show, even beating out the bloody magic. How she can be supporting this kid, and a house on a single budget in a fairly large city. Yea I just don’t buy that, unless Tingaara is paying really well, in which case sign me up. Or I guess getting a bunch of support from the father or her parents.
