Ex-Arm: Episode 2

I was going to give this show a bit of good will to be honest. I figured sure it can look terrible with some of the worst cgi I’ve seen in awhile, but if the story and characters are good it can be redeemed. But, I don’t think those hold this up at all.

The story doesn’t do a very good job of bringing me into this world and make me want to know more. They are talking about this destruction caused in the past, but we never see it. They don’t give us overhead shots of hundreds of ruined city blocks or massive holes in the ground. So I have no reference to care about this backstory of the world at all. They talk about how all these kids are homeless and wandering the streets of the city. But we only ever see two of these kids. So we have no reference to judge what these characters are talking about at all.

The actual story seems to revolve now around this guy in a robot brain helping a special ops group take down villains and learn more about himself and his history. While it isn’t terrible, doesn’t do anything new or special. Really comes off as something that has been told before in the past. But unfortunately it just isn’t amazing enough to stick with this I think. Gonna give it one more episode to hit episode 3 before really giving up on it.
