The Duke of Death and His Maid : Episode 2

And we got more of the cast, finally meeting this butler along with a sister. And a random family of cats. I do like the character interactions between the characters. And Alice and Duke have an amazing relationship, which is pretty much all that carries this show. Without their interactions it wouldn’t have anything. But I seem to remember that was one of my issues, they went for chapters being really unchanging because of where they started out at. Adding onto they still hadn’t fixed the curse so they really couldn’t progress things more. And I can already feel those feelings coming out in this as well.

Now the CGI, it is an interesting style. It isn’t really something I honestly like all that much. It gives me the impression of those older stop motion movies. Everything is super stiff and just isn’t very fluid, which to me is distracting. In general I still hate most fully CGI anime or CGI elements, and only rarely do I get a CGI show where I like the CGI. Or a studio that uses CGI properly to really enhance their animation and make it more fluid and smooth. Maybe one day CGI anime will reach the heights it technically should be able to, that day will probably be when they finally give studios large enough budgets to afford better CGI I guess.
