Scarlet Nexus : Episode 1

Starting off, I’ve already played the game. So before the first episode is over I already have a good idea of what I think about the story and characters and where things go.

I haven’t really seen much from this studio, they seem to have a ton of shows that I just have never watched. But from the start I’m not overly impressed. The visuals and artwork just doesn’t look very good, looking quiet a bit worse than the game it is based on. But the music is just as good as the game, so that is some positive points.

Now some things that are different, they added a rather large amount of new content compared to the game. I’d say better than half this episode was anime original. And I will be interested to see if this trend continues, and to what extent. The game definitely has some rather large issues with both story and character building, so if the anime can add to those aspects and help things along that would be amazing.

And depending on how they do it, it could end up being better than the game for me.
