Higehiro : Episode 13

I’ll be honest, at this point I don’t have much to say. The second half of the show has been a tremendous let down for me, far more than I could have expected. And at the same time drug down the manga I was also reading since I know where it is heading.

A big part of it is the ending, which man while it doesn’t go all the way. It goes so close that it still isn’t good. Sure the dude didn’t take advantage of a high school girl, great. But she than proceeded to spend the rest of her high school years dreaming of this old salary man, and than went back to his home after graduating. The events that will follow off screen are pretty obvious. It just feels wrong, 100% without a doubt feels wrong and creepy, and I don’t see why so many people seem to like these events. This story should have stayed a fun and healthy brother sister relationship, with both characters growing off each other. And in the end they could leave being much better and well adjusted characters, and continuing on with their lives.

I’m just disappointed, and saddened that they went in this direction. Just don’t really have anything more to say. I can’t say I would recommend watching it that is for sure.
