This Monster Wants to Eat Me : Episode 5

And we get the episode that gets to the heart of the relationship between Miko and Hinako. Which despite Miko hiding her true self from Hinako, it is a very pure relationship all together. She just wants to protect Hinako, and attempt to make up for not being able to save her family and keep them safe. Further showing as well the differences between Miko and Shiori as well. I very much enjoy this reveal, and how much the characters rely on each other. Even if they didn’t all know the truth about each other this whole time.
This whole thing also raises the question of at what point do fake memories become real. And if they are used to help the person, are they necessarily bad. Personally in this case, it isn’t like Miko has been deceiving Hinako for any bad reason. Or to get something from Hinako or harm her, and instead it was all based around giving her something positive and to live for after she lost everything.
