I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time : Episode 1
Current Episode Score: 7
Another show that I’m reading the source material of, and I think it is off to a pretty good start thus far. I don’t have any major complaints thus far at all. Alina is still a very enjoyable character, and her voice actor is perfect for the role and how I would have imaged her to be. The light novel has some pretty good pacing, and my only hope is the anime doesn’t try to rush things unnecessarily.
I also want to say I love the OP and the art style they used. And honestly I really wish they could have done the entire show in that art style. It is a very unique and interesting painterly style I would call it, and it is refreshing to see something different done with the OP.
Now for a general complaint about modern anime in general, related to this show but also pretty much every other fantasy show ever. When and why did this obsession with monsters being CGI happen. I just don’t understand why I think every fantasy show from every studio I’ve seen recently, outside of a couple very big budget shows, have used CGI for the monsters they are fighting. And it just looks horrendous every single time, why do you ruin what should be a good fight scene with a terrible CGI monster.
