So it wasn’t NPC’s they were fighting, but some soldiers they were testing using the game to bring them back into civilian life better. I guess that checks with how powerful the group was, and it works out in the end. Though I still didn’t end up loving this arc, it just doesn’t do very much for me really. Which expands to the whole season, I just don’t feel like we got much character growth from anybody this season. It is the type of season you could skip and go onto a future season and not be confused at all.
