Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night : Episode 1
Current Episode Score: 8
This was an incredible first episode, and I love the show already. And I really hope it can keep the same energy and excitement throughout the entire show, and it doesn’t get bogged down in some drama or something. Mahiru and Kano have just a great energy between them, and work incredibly well together I feel. And I’m excited to see what the other 2 main cast characters who haven’t been introduced yet can bring to the show.
Also very good is the animation and visuals. The show looks really good, and I didn’t notice anything I felt looked bad at all. Combined with being just so colorful and vibrate, it just looks so good. Final mention is the camera has so much energy behind it that is helps elevate these scenes so much, I love when a show isn’t afraid to have their viewpoint move around and actually be a character in the show. And not just a static viewpoint watching some characters talk and their interactions. I don’t think this first episode would have worked nearly as well if it didn’t have such an active camera.
