Gushing Over Magical Girls : Episode 10

Dang, haven’t written about this in a few episodes. But yea, I really love this series. I really do love it, and the anime is just as good as the manga. In some aspects I kinda want to say it is even better.

In many ways I feel like this is a progression to those old hentai harem shows, that were a split between serious and pretty decent story and just silly hentai stuff. And this is pretty similar, you have a very serious story and these magical girls fighting each other. With it being not so secret that some of these girls are dying in these fights at times. Along with internal conflicts and a ton of personal growth. There is a lot of serious and very good story going on with this show.

And than you have the “plot”, which honestly with episodes like this kinda take that very far. Much farther than you would every expect really. Like you would never expect to see a yuri sex scene, with some creative cuts at times, in a show that is also just this serious the second it is over. And I don’t think the sexual stuff hurts this show or the characters at all, if anything it helps. We just had some forced character growth this episode and learned more about the characters via those actions.

Honestly this is one of those series that I kinda feel awkward watching and talking about. But I seriously love this show, with those thoughts coming from the characters and actual story being really good.
