So yea, the church is totally doing something to artificially affect Van’s hero abilities. All because they couldn’t control Ruti and want to make sure the new hero is somebody they control. Would be interesting to see what his class is, because it obviously isn’t hero since Ruti still has that. Not really sure how this story will get wrapped up. But pretty obvious it involves the church doing something to Van to cause him to act this way.
