Haven’t wrote about this show in awhile despite watching it. And I think it is fine, but nothing special at all. Sure the characters are enjoyable and likeable. But the story just doesn’t do much for me at all and ends up feeling rather repetitive. While also not really making much progress at all. Angie wants to go and visit her father, something happens, and she can’t. Currently since that play out like 4 times, and it just isn’t very good.

Especially the latest excuse for that to play out just makes no sense really. Your one of the most powerful, if not most, powerful human on the planet. If you want to go do something you just do, if you want to take a vacation who is to tell you no. Especially some rather irrelevant grand duke, he won’t be dumb enough to actually attack the town to get revenge or anything like that. Sure I can see stopping the vacation to help somebody or kill some monster, but to show up at a social event you don’t care about?

Meanwhile Bel isn’t a terrible character, he just hasn’t had any development. He is the exact same good guy from episode one, only with this episode does it seem like he will start to get some development. But that is far too late in the show for me.

I honestly don’t think this dual protagonist thing works, not when they are separated for most of the show. I’ve seen others try it, and it always ends the same way. You have one mostly developed main protagonist, and the other just gets forgotten about.

I’ll see how this show finishes. But I honestly can’t see how this can really end on a high note for me that would truly improve my opinion of it. Or make me want to go buy the light novel. I’ve read some of the manga, but we have already past the point that I read up to I do believe with the fan translations.
