OVERTAKE! : Episode 9

Moving away from racing again back over to the personal drama. And it still isn’t my favorite part of the show, especially since I don’t really feel like much new information was gained from this episode. We already knew the reason Kouya stopped taking photos of people, and I don’t really know if we got any character growth for him from this episode. Maybe he had some growth with the meeting of the old man in the hospital, maybe that was the growth that was needed for him to move on from that event. But honestly not sure, especially since it seems like he was already recovering previously on his own. So I guess we will need to see what happens with the next episode of the show.

Of course the other issue is, what is actually happening with the racing and that story. We have 3 episodes left to go, and a ton of stuff still needs to be wrapped up. We need to see Satsuki recover and attempt to get his position back, or see the results of that. How things shake out between Satsuki, Haruka, and Toshiki. Or if Haruka will go back to driving the original car. And you know, will he manage to get on the podium?

Just feels like we still have a ton to cover in just 3 episodes, and don’t really know how they will make this satisfying. Unless they have Haruka return and race with Tashiki in the next episode. Maybe have that fight out for first driver. And than do a time skip to let Satsuki recover in the final 2 episodes and maybe podium stuff than. Just don’t know how this will work out in a satisfying way.
