Attack on Titan Season 2 : Episode 5

So yea, it has been awhile since I last watched episode 4. Been distracted with all the other shows I am watching right now as well, but figured it is about time for another episode. And in it we get more Ymir, a character I knew nothing about at the beginning of the season. But I guess is some tiny big headed titan whom I am going to presume the rest of the season will focus on. Because I really want some context and explanation behind this whole thing. It just seems so sudden to have yet another human/titan hybrid show up now and join the cast. Heck I feel like Eren and his role as a titan in the story isn’t even fully explained or integrated yet, so just odd to add more characters in the same vein in to the story.

I do wonder though, what ever happened with the whole Eren’s basement story. Will that ever get picked back up again and explained? We are going into a different arc with this second season, and that first one never got properly resolved at all.
