The Kingdoms of Ruin : Episode 1

I think I’m gonna give this show one more episode, just another chance to show it has something, anything, interesting to me at all going on. But at the moment it just seems like another edgy revenge story that doesn’t really have much going for it.

I get the feeling their might be some deeper story going on here. The Queen is probably a witch, and obviously they are using magic to cause all this technology to work. Along with probably using magic to grow and expand just so quickly, coming from the Queen I would guess. But I need to get to that quickly, that deeper story that might be interesting. And not just some guy slaughter a bunch of humans for revenge with no other real goal.

Also don’t really get were the whole primary concept of hating the witches came from. They didn’t show me a morally gray world in which both witches and humans have done horrible things while in power. That would be a far more interesting story, if this was a morally gray world that let you see the opinions of the humans doing this as valid in some way. But instead we just have a very pointless dark and grim story, for seemingly no reason other than to create a revenge plot.
