Galilei Donna : Episode 1
Current Episode Score: 7
Well that was, an interesting first episode. I really didn’t know what to expect going into this show at all, but it wasn’t mechas and like future-steampunk. Honestly I am blindsided by how this has started off, and I think I may be interested.
I am liking the characters I’m seeing to start with, they are all very unique and enjoyable. And look forward to learning more about them and how they grow. We have potential for a bunch of great backstory to their family and the individuals, how they grew up to be so different and how the family apparently kinda fell apart it seems. Add in this mysterious group who is attacking them, yea it has potential.
I do question Hozuki though, like how she managed to make an airship in her factory basement. Why the AI she built to help run the ship is an embodiment of her goldfish, or why the airship is a goldfish. And you know, how did this teenage girl manage to get missiles and machine guns and all this other stuff. And why would you even build that into your personal hobby airship anyhow? So many questions for Hozuki.
Visually I think the show is pretty impressive, and you can tell this is an A-1 show. Everything just looks super polished and animates very smoothly. The CGI moments are integrated very well. And just the whole package I really enjoy. Also Hozuki looks super similar to various other A-1 characters before, I think they have a face and hairstyle they really like and keep using.
