Majestic Prince : Episode 22

The progression in this show has been so odd, and I seriously question some choices. You have stuff like them not bringing out Izuru, who seems to be their strongest fighter at all. And instead have him doing some random skits in the ship involving food.

But more importantly for me, what is with the enemy power levels and how dangerous they are. During this show we haven’t seen them have any major advances in technology or anything, all we have is more people joining the fight. But at the beginning we saw more people and ships didn’t win the fights, they were just out teched and out gunned. The enemy was just far too powerful, and that required the Princes to succeed. But we also saw the Princes themselves were pretty out-matched, and only when Izuru linked to his AHSMB did he truly put up a good fight. It felt like the rules and stakes were simple, humans are on the backfoot and it will require them to make major sacrifices and changes that might kill the pilots, in order to gain enough power to survive the conflicts.

But fast-forward to this episode. We have dropped everything apparently from that first half of the show. Everyone regardless of how linked they are with the AHSMB are fighting equal with any of the Wulgaru, even those who are apparently powerful and of a high level. The ships that were completely useless early on, are now apparently a major source of damage in this fight. And the Wulgaru seem like a non-threat, with them just not doing much. I can’t help but feel like they had something decent planned with the first half, and than ran out of time and just dropped most of it to put together something that could be finished.
