Majestic Prince : Episode 17

Well that was an action packed episode, with a new fight against the enemy. Now with them making it to Earth for yet another showdown. Though with this episode just more of the various issues I’ve had with the show start appearing again. The technology spread and weapons development makes no sense, why can only the special AHSMB’s seem to use the powerful weapons and such and deal damage, why is that tech not on every ship. Sure the fancy connection between pilot and robot can’t be done, but doesn’t mean the weapons themselves can’t. And why is there apparently no defensive net around the planet, it should be a firing range of thousands of stationary mac cannons and laser platforms and the such, instead they have just more useless ships. Finally we have more very strange and confusing enemy scaling, and I don’t really understand it. Some fights the Wulgaru just fall apart and get defeated immediately, other times they seem impossible to beat. Doesn’t seem like their is all that much consistency with them at all.

Final concern at this point is, the show is closer to finished than to start. And I don’t really see how this show could wrap up at all, or lead to a satisfying closing point. The humans are still being pushed back by the Wulgaru in every fight it seems. And has made no progress towards doing any actual major damage to the Wulgaru. Just doesn’t seem like we have any win condition at all available by this point, so close to the end of the show.
