While I enjoyed the episode, it felt very strange. Like the pacing and stories involved with this and the previous episode just feels odd. We have multiple stories going on at once, and they don’t really all feel connected.

One side we have Roy and occasional others helping this pokemon learn to fly. Which eventually ends with Roy getting a second pokemon. General story was great, and felt different than the traditional beat up the pokemon till it submits style. But for me it almost felt like the main story.

Meanwhile we have what I figure is the main story, Liko and the amulet and the guy trying to take it going on. Which has somehow become this background event. With Friede getting into a fight with him, but not mentioning it to anyone to be careful. And finally ending with Liko getting hypnotized and having the amulet stolen. All this being regulated largely to the B-plot of the episodes just felt odd, and I don’t really know where things are going.

And don’t forget we still have the whole Dot story that occasionally shows up. With Liko wanting to become friends with Dot and Dot slowly getting the courage to go out. Still don’t have a clue what is actually up with Dot.

Something else is I feel like the story has really slowed down compared to the first couple episodes. It had this great fast pace that felt like things kept happening at the beginning. But only 14 episodes in, things feel like they have slowed to a relative snails pace.
