And with that the show is over, and I can’t say I really understand everything that ended up happening. So let me try and get some things straight, Suletta went to permit score 8 with the help of Eri, and in doing so essentially recreated Quiet Zero themselves in a way. Which than proceeded to spread across the entire universe? In the process it went too far and just ended up destroying all Gundams and some permit related technology I guess? Don’t really understand how that worked, likewise the permit ghosts were a bit odd. And also a tad concerning, isn’t it basically saying that everyone who could raise a permit score ends up in a literal afterlife. And like just because they destroyed the permit system, it would still exist on a theoretical level and will be rebuilt one day, and thus those ghosts are still just chilling forever.

And in the end pretty much everyone ended up surviving, even Eri. Who Suletta apparently transferred to the doll somehow. Some people had repercussions and physically issues, but pretty much everyone made it to the end.

So final thoughts on the show, I don’t think I’m gonna write a full review on the show. But my general thoughts on the entire package is this. A strong first season, with a very slow and well built story. Constantly building on what you want to learn about, and building up this world and characters in a brilliant way. And than the second season comes along, and just kinda rushes past all that stuff you came to expect from the first season. And in a breakneck pace completes a much larger and involved story in the same number of episodes. Have zero proof, but I’d guess this show was supposed to have more seasons originally and it was cut down early on, but too late to actually fix and rework the story. I’m left just feeling a tad unsatisfied with how quickly things moved, and how many things never really get properly expanded and explained with the second season.
