86 EIGHTY-SIX : Episode 3

Published by ThyMrMan on

Episode 3, and we are off to a slow and relaxing start and explosive ending. So much just casual character interactions and fun times. Learning about the characters and personalities just hanging out by the river. For it all to end so quickly was incredibly unexpected. But thus far, it is kinda going the way I figured it would. With members of the squad slowly dying in the process of fighting this war. Each one I feel that Lena is going to take personally, she is going to grow attached and feel everyone who dies anywhere on the battlefield is her fault. I’m going to be shocked if the next episode isn’t focused on Lena, probably having depression just walking around the city. Wondering what is wrong with the world, and working through what she has been told. Wondering if it is her fault all this happened, and trying to take all the pain and suffering of the various 86’s for herself.

Overall, this episode didn’t raise or answer any of the various questions I had. So my lists of info I want to know continues to stay unchanged into this episode. But something I did find strange, is that they apparently lack up to date maps. How does this even happen, if you can build a maintain a large city and army and fight a long extended war. You would figure somebody would be updating the maps and the battlefield to keep track of where everyone is placed. Something I did find curious, they mentioned they always know when the Legion is going to be attacking. Which makes me wonder why?

Kinda gives me another random theory, what if the Legion isn’t actually an enemy force at all. Lets say you are a ruler who wants to commit genocide against anyone who silver/white haired, but at the same time you are trying to keep your conscience clean. So you manufacture an enemy faction, the Legion, and force your undesirables to fight this endless war and keep them under-supplied. With just enough equipment and power that you feel you are giving them a fighting chance, so you don’t feel like you are just sending them to die. After all, they can sometimes live. Don’t have a clue about this one, but is was a random interesting idea I thought about.
