Attack on Titan : Episode 5

This episode is just fine to me, but I don’t really feel anything about the events taking place. Since as I said in the last episode, I don’t really know any of these characters. I haven’t spent any time getting to know them or getting close, they are just kinda side characters I really don’t care about.

I think the biggest question is though, how has this civilization not managed to adapt and invent and change at all over hundreds of years? They have been fighting the same enemy for a very long time. And yet their strategy and weapons are pretty much exactly the same. Hide behind a big wall and shoot ineffective cannons at the Titans and hope it works. And if they get by the wall, fly around with no strategy or cohesion and slowly get picked off one at a time.
