Majestic Prince : Episode 1

Another mecha anime of the season, this must have been a half decent season for mechs. As for this show, I kinda have the same response as with Valvrave. It is a fine first episode, but doesn’t do anything amazing for me that really hooks me. It has this general tone I don’t really love, where they are using very strong comedy to hide what will be serious topics I feel. And I don’t always love when they do that,.

Visually I will say the show is a bit odd, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this style before. Everything kinda feels painted on I guess. Not terrible I’ll say, and at least it stands out.
