Honestly I’m kinda shocked they went through with the whole immortality thing for Euphie. All in all, immortality and Queens/Kings is a very terrible idea. Like the set-up for ever villainous empire ever, an immortal King who has lived for so long and gathered so much power they are near unbeatable. But it also just feels very odd, like how are the nobles in the kingdom actually OK with this solution. It completely eliminates their power, if you have a single person who will live forever and can make plans that last for decades and just forever consolidate power.

This episode also had the issue of feeling super rushed. I think they went through a ton of content in a single episode. We get confessions and fights and everything happening at once, with no downtime or pauses at all. I get the feeling a whole bunch of context was just forgotten about in the whole process.

In general I guess this was a pretty good show, but I didn’t really love it. It felt rushed in general, and I never really loved any of the characters. And I can’t say it has ended in a point that makes me want to read the light novel. I feel like this is a pretty complete ending, and I don’t know where the story goes from here at all. Fighting nearby countries? That definitely would lead to the evil immortal empire vibes at least that an immortal ruler causes.
