The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady : Episode 8

I feel like it has been awhile, but the show is finally getting interesting. Things are finally really happening, and we are finally seeing the actual plot and story moving forward. Something I’ve been waiting for some time to see, that isn’t just a story of friendship/yuri between these characters.

We now have a prince who has gone crazy after being compared to his over-achieving sister who is so much better at everything outside of pure magic. And is now terrified he will loose his position since she has now achieved the ability to use magic via her own means. In that terror, he hatches this plot to steal the vampiric abilities of Lainie so he can reach heights greater than that of his sister.

If I had one issue, it is that the whole thing feels rather sudden. We don’t really know the prince all that well at all, outside that he was captured by Lainies charm abilities earlier. And that he was always concerned about his abilities. But he hasn’t really been built up as an enemy, or somebody who would take these massive steps when he feels threatened.
