You honestly forget the show started with a college age guy until episodes like this sometimes. In some ways it is kinda disappointing, he transitioned into the role so quickly many of the fun gender bender themes don’t really happen. Occasionally something common happens, but more often it is just a series about a bunch of girls having fun together.

Also I keep expecting Mahiro to go to school already. Feels like a good amount of time has already passed, and I though they were already in school by this point in the manga.
