Well, you have gotten my attention with this show. Though to be honest, it doesn’t feel like a normal show at all. This feels like it has been set-up like a movie that happens to be cut into different episodes. And I think it comes down to the style of world building and plot development with this first episode, was very slow and just introducing things. And didn’t mind spending some time just enjoying the silence and letting the viewer experience the world they have crafted. I think it works really well, and I’m looking forward to how this goes.

Visually it follows the standard procedure for Polygon Pictures, full cgi all the time. And I haven’t seen anything from them since 2018, but they have really improved. Their style has improved massively from what I remember, and especially so compared to what I remember from Ajin. And I’m one of those few who does enjoy a good cgi anime, as long as it fully accepts what it is, and plays up it’s strengths and abilities. Good looking cgi anime can look just as visually appealing as any traditional anime, it is just you tend to remember the terrible looking cgi that gives the whole cgi style a bad name.
