My Master Has No Tail : Episode 9

Had to go double check, but we are just running through the manga at a really quick pace. Already reached volume 4. And after rereading parts of Vol 3, it really just shows how much different the anime feels to watch and understanding the characters. Minor things I just didn’t pick up myself like Enshi not being able to speak quickly without a temp to follow. I will say Utaroku is much more annoying in the show, I think they overdid his coughing way too much.

Something I didn’t notice until this episode, but Mameda’s leaf has changed with the seasons. She now has a yellow leaf since it is now fall/winter instead of the green leaf. It does make me ask, how has nobody commented on Mameda constantly having a very cute leaf on her head.

Finally I am sad that this show seems to have such a poor average score. But I think I could see the reasons behind it if you aren’t a fan of the original manga. It doesn’t really do much to stand out from the rest of the shows this season. And some of the rakugo, while enjoyable to hear the stories and how it plays out and the voice actors doing a very good job. The actual content of those just don’t ever do much for me, they are interesting story concepts but not much beyond that.
