Raven of the Inner Palace : Episode 5

What an odd episode, not really sure why it was structured this way. With the ED happening 5min from the end of the show, and than the episode just continuing on afterwards. Normally that happens when the after credits is some important event for what will be coming up next or getting a different viewpoint. But this was largely just the same as normal, so I don’t really understand it. Must be some reason behind it, guess we shall learn with the next episode.

In general this was also a bit of a different episode focusing strongly on Eisei, a character I wasn’t expecting to get all that much backstory on. I figured he would just be a similar character to Jiujiu, who is always there and helping but doesn’t have a super important role. But I wonder if he will be playing more of a role in this upcoming arc, and his backstory will end up being important.
