The Eminence in Shadow : Episode 1

I really like the manga, really love it actually. It is just so much fun, so I was excited for the show. What I wasn’t expecting is them to adapt some chapter from apparently the 4th Light Novel for some reason. Following a character and events that won’t really have any connection with the story for a very long time. And leave our actual main characters introduction and the introduction to the actual story and world to the very final moments of the episode and next episode. We shall see if it works, but I kinda feel like this was a bad choice. I can’t help but feel like it will make people who don’t already know the manga or LN just leave the show, after they realize the first episode was essentially a bait and switch.
