Tari Tari : Episode 5

Oh man, what a very depressing and sad episode. Death of family members always hits me hard in media, and they did a really good job of that in this episode. The music, animation, reactions and characters. It was perfect, for an incredibly sad episode.

What really makes it worse for me is the parents decided to hide Wakana’s mothers illness for so long, just to not distract Wakana. And I guess that is a pretty standard thing in Asian countries who seem so dedicated and place such importance on schools and grades. Don’t want to do anything that might effect them getting into that good high-school. But that is just such a foreign and terrible idea, that you can see is terrible miles away. Spending time with a loved one near the end of their life is just so much more important than if you got into a school or made a better score on a test.
