Lycoris Recoil : Episode 9

Quickly the show is realizing that they have spent the entire show doing very little plot development, and they now have 4 episodes to actually develop and resolve a plot that involves 4 different groups of individuals or organizations. I have very little hope they can actually make this work out. There are just way too many different things that all need to be solved, that I can’t see any of it being all that satisfying.

It is honestly just disappointing for me, like I feel like the show had a ton of potential. But they have just tried to do too many things and it isn’t working. And honestly I think they have focused far too much on the slice-of-life elements between Chisato and Takina. So much time was dedicated to slice-of-life and they didn’t have time for the other parts of the show.

Also, despite Chisato having an apparent time deadline of 2ish months before her artificial heart stops, I really don’t see them going through with it. Nothing in the show has really made me get the idea they will go really dark in the last episode and actually have Chisato die. Or honestly any of the main cast of characters. At worst they may get injured, but I don’t see them dying. Sure we have seen them kill off side characters, but they haven’t shown us anything to make us worried about any of the main named characters.
