Summer Time Rendering: Episode 18

So many questions answered with this episode, though some of it is pure speculation by the characters. But it is something at least. Shide is actually a human who has been getting reborn over and over in the form of Karikiri for decades. Forever worshiping the creature everyone calls Haine. Who could be anything really, an alien or an ancient life-form, not really sure. And my guess of why Shinpei’s parents got killed were correct, they found the Haine’s cave. So pretty much it went along and answered a good number of questions.

Of course we end with that major event, Ushio apparently being killed and Shinpei looping again. Though to be perfectly honest, I don’t believe that Ushio is actually fully gone and dead. I fully believe she will return in some form or fashion. We have already seen that she was a unique and special Shadow, and that will probably be the key to her coming back. After-all I still think she is necessary to kill Haine fully.
