Summer Time Rendering: Episode 16

As expected we get a slower episode, no real action. Just looking into things more and trying to gain more information about the events and people involved. The biggest point of information I would say is the destination that Haine is trying to reach, what is essentially a hidden promise land. And like so many promise lands over time, I doubt it actually exists. This is most likely some delusion she has created, that she believes to exist, simply so she can be happy finally. And that is one major piece of information I feel we will still learn, what happened rather suddenly and recently on a time frame to cause Haine to want to escape the island so much. Is there some painful and traumatic event in Haine’s own history she is trying to escape?

Also on the point of all the shadows disappearing once Haine dies. I’m going to guess that is with the except of Ushio and the shadows she has interacted with changed. Ushio has already shown to have similar powers to Haine, just less developed due to her being younger. So I could fully see it possible Ushio is also a mother shadow, and can survive independently and birth more shadows in the future.

Side note, Shadow Mio teasing the real Mio is really adorable. Trying to get all this info that the real Mio wants but is too afraid to ask. Shadow Mio is really trying to play the wingman in Mio’s romance, and this is something I just didn’t know I wanted. Honest the romantic feelings some of these characters had for each other is something I forgot about.
