Lycoris Recoil : Episode 5

We are now 5 episodes in, and the main plot still hasn’t really gone anywhere at all. We get tiny little minute or two long chunks of something that could be called the main plot, and that is it. The main cast though, still completely uninvolved with the larger events thus far. And nothing seems to be moving in a direction which would have them being involved at all. The only minor tie in between the main cast and a possible larger story is this Alan Institute, which I know nothing about and have never seen anybody from.

I just don’t understand how this could possible get wrapped up as a satisfying story at all. They have spent so many episodes just character building doing these slice-of-life style episodes that the main plot will have no time at all to breath. It will end up being forced into the last 6 episodes, and I have never seen a show that can do that well. It will always end up being rushed and disappointing.
