Love, Election and Chocolate : Episode 1

Well we are off to a pretty generic Visual Novel adaption. Like super generic. A massive cast of female characters that all interact with the MC during various events, with a couple that will stand out as obvious love interests. Including the typical fight between the childhood friend and other girls. Alongside this is the normal ecchi content that is really just stupid, and has never not been. Unnecessary physical violence and panty shots that add nothing to the characters or the show.

As for the larger story, super strange. The school is some massive undertaking with their own full scale government and and congress building, not a clue what is going on with that. And than they have the finance-aid students being forced to work in the factories after school? Oh yea, and the show started off with some girl literally being murdered for taking pictures of a backhanded deal. I really don’t know what tone this show is supposed to be going for.

In general, my general outlook for the show is super low. According to VNDB this is like a 37 hour visual novel originally, and they are trying to cut it down to less than 5 hours. Which means there is basically no way they can get through all the characters and build them successfully, while also leading a good story.
