Well they are continuing their trend, and we are once again getting more backstory and plot surrounding the Shadows. And I can say I wasn’t expecting to see these plot points and this development. I honestly wasn’t expecting so many humans to be working directly with the shadows and Haine, seemingly to keep her feed so she didn’t attack the island.

What I don’t know is what is going on with Shadow Shiori and the Shadow Monster. I figured that all the shadows were one united front working together on the same goals all the time. After-all the festival night had the Shadow Monster working with Shadow Shiori to revive or give Haine more power and control. But now it almost seems like they are two different groups that don’t have identical goals. Wonder if it is a case that Shadow Shiori and Monster are more extremist Shadows who are not willing to maintain the status-quo and started a fight by themselves unprompted.

It does seem like we are leading up to another time loop within an episode or two. We will get some lore and story details in the next episode and it will probably lead to a fight in the second that will result in Shinpei looping again. But this time with detailed information about all the factions who are fighting and the nest location. Only variable is how Haine and Shadow Shiori will interfere, Shadow Shiori has already displaying some predictive abilities and Haine will want to regain her eye.
