Well, that is probably the fastest way you can make me dislike a show. And also be seriously confused about what was going on, and why things were happening. And also what the plan was for all of it? Like seriously, what was this episode.

So first off instead of a serious and relatable and honest conversation between Kanade and Shikijou, that looked like it was planned. We suddenly have him turn into some crazy dude who kidnaps Kanade and plans to I guess rape her until she becomes normal? Like it all just went so crazy so fast without any warning at all. It had the potential to be a really good episode ending things off, with Kanade simply explaining her viewpoint and opinion to Shikijou, and them going there separate ways. You know things just didn’t work out and that was fine. And Kanade would have had some good character growth to carry her on with the next season.

But instead I feel like everything in this last half of the show was just wasted involving Kanade and her romance and her conflict with being normal. She just has to suffer through this super random and traumatizing experience, and is now just seemingly ok and fine with her circumstances.

Oh and by the way, she is actually been in love with Yukimura the entire time. So we now have a completely pointless love triangle, one that she lost before even starting. What was so bad with her just really looking up to Yukimura as a mentor and friend in a totally non-romantic aspect.

Than you have Yukimura and him just jumping into the middle of this experience. What is up with that? And when did he have time to make up this whole powerpoint about Kanade being normal and gathering bottles to scare Kanade’s attackers off? If he had enough time to do all that and still make it to Kanade before the cops showed up, well they have a worse response time than a certain Texas police department. Not to mention when have we ever seen Yukimura to ever be aggressive or a fighter of any kind, he would never just jump into the middle of things like that.

This is the type of episode that will make me drop the show for good, and ignore a S3 if it is ever made. And depending on if this is the same in the manga, drop that as well.
