I wasn’t expecting to get such deep character development for Kanade, and that it would be a rather depressing developments. Like she had a rather poor childhood, and was constantly told to be somebody who she wasn’t really. That she couldn’t like and enjoy the things she did, and needed to be more normal. And it just effected the rest of her development really hard, and she decided that she could only try and be the most normal possible. And it does look like this is what will end up finishing the season out, will be trying to let Kanade break out of this idea of having to be normal and just be herself more.

I am interested to see how this plan of letting Kanade be herself more effects Naoya and their relationship that is developing. I honestly don’t know how it will go, I don’t know if it will develop into something more. Or if they just won’t be compatible, honestly I think I would be fine with ether option. Though I kinda feel like they will have Naoya accept Kanade more for herself, her more non-normal self, and actually start dating. Would just work more on the romance anime side of things, especially since they are starting to work on a possible romance between Kosuke and Ibarada. Would be kinda awkward to have Kanade be the only one without a romantic partner.
