Accel World : Episode 1

Oh man, this show is starting right off being hard for me to watch. I don’t know how many episodes I will go for. It just kinda has everything I hate wrapped up in a single episode. But it mainly comes down to our protagonist, Haruyuki. He is just everything I kinda dislike about a main character; he doesn’t have a good or interesting character design, his personality is dull and frustrating, and watching him is just kinda tiresome. And I want to stick around and say that maybe he will improve, but if I have learned anything after all these hours of anime watching, if I hate a character at the start, they probably will never improve enough for me to like them.

I’ll give it a little bit more time, see if something happens that I end up liking. But I’m doubtful.
